Our Memorial Day weekend......

We had a great weekend. Saturday we just hung around the house and caught up on some rest. Sunday we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo here in the Springs. It was awesome. I love our zoo here, I haven't seen one prettier. Most I am sure will complain about all the hiking and hills you have to climb, but once you stop and enjoy the views, It's amazing. From the side of Cheyenne Mountain you have great views of the whole city. Mainly the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel and Golf Course. There is a new exhibit called "Rocky Mountain Wild", it is awesome. Below are a few pictures of our new animals including...moose, mountain lions, North American river otters, lynx, bald eagles and grizzly bears.

There is also a new ride the "Sky Ride". We didn't go on it, but it looked great and really seems to give you a chance to relax and enjoy the views.

We finished off our weekend on Monday going to Territory Days down in Old Colorado City. I love walking around and looking through all the shops, but, man, was it busy!

Mother's Day at the Lake....

We had a great Mother's Day at Pueblo Reservoir. The kids were enjoying fishing for the first time. They were awesome! They picked it up so fast. They were mostly casting out and reeling in with their little fake fishes, but the big boys that were really fishing didn't catch anything either! I think they still had fun though. We had a BBQ and got some sun. I couldn't ask for a nicer day. We were joined by my Mom, brother Mike, brother Matt and his Family and my doggies. The dogs also had a great day, and passed out as soon as we got home. I guess the only thing to complain about is that I got a sunburn on my neck : ( oh well, I was too busy making sure everyone else was all sunblocked up and forgot about me!

I hope all you Mom's had a great day too! Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Finally! Some warmth!....

What a nice day it was today. We got to play outside and get some sunshine. I am happy it finally feels like summer. I even got to plant flowers today (with the help of Bella). For those of that don't know, I have been doing childcare for the last few months and these are pictures of the kids I watch... and Caleb.
My friend Nikki brought to my attention the other day that I seem to be a magnet for little kids lately. After thinking about it more, I think she's right. We were at the mall yesterday at the play area and all these kids kept coming up to me and talking to me, same with a couple days ago. Even today while I was out planting flowers all the neighbor kids came over and started blabbering away to me. Strange isn't it? I somehow seem very approachable to kids.
Oh well, I don't mind! : )

Caleb was too busy to help as always!

Mia was sucking up the sunshine also with a big smile and giggle. She really enjoyed being outside. She was VERY popular with all the neighbor kids!

Noah was just running around giggling the whole time. : )

How was my weekend you ask???....

Well, I stayed home all weekend because my poor baby boy was sick. Bad stomach bug, he couldn't keep anything down all weekend. Finally got over it in time for school on Monday. We just stayed home and took care of him. Sydney was especially sweet. She stayed in her jammies all weekend too. They watched movie after movie after movie. Oh well, at least I got to spend time with them still, even if we couldn't do anything fun ad I got throw up all over me several times. Yuckie!

What a Way to start off May!!

Ahh....Colorado. Don't you just love it?
Here we are May 1st and it is like a blizzard out there. Poor new baby flowers and leaves. I can't wait till summer! The local outdoor pools open May 17th, do you think it will stop snowing by then? I sure hope so! There is only 3 weeks left of the school year. I am looking forward to a nice, fun filled summer.
Oh and I wanted to give some advise for the people like me that don't always check the fruit you buy at the grocery store. A couple of weeks ago at Walmart I got some bananas and found in the middle of the group that there was a spider web and a gigantic dead spider! Obviously not from any where in the U.S. EWW!! I threw away all of the bananas, I just couldn't stomach it after that.
